Solway Cycling Club Constitution
1. To ensure the Club is affiliated to the Cycling UK annually.
i). i.e. Organisers Liability for Affiliated Bodies. Club organisers are covered as Summary of Cover Provided – Copies available from the club secretary.
ii) To encourage cycling members to have personal insurance cover for their liability on public highways with Cycling UK 3rd Party cover a suggested minimum. (This cover only exist while their fees are paid up to date when payment is overdue their cover ceases immediate)

2. Club colours.
Club Jersey – a yellow main body with a Solway club badge, top left chest, and arm shoulder logos, Club shorts a yellow main body with brown side panels with yellow lettered Solway SCC.
3. Club fees.
a) Club fees set at Club AGM.
b) Racing only, membership not available. (Applicant referred to a racing club).
c) Club membership will lapse 3 months after an annual club membership subscription is unpaid.
d).Only fully paid up members will benefit from club interests and activities.
e). Club Annual subscriptions due - 30th September.
4. Club Officials and posts.
a) To have an Honorary Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Social Secretary, Run Co-ordinator
b) Committee to be formed from club membership.
c) Officials elected annually.
d) To hold Annual General Meeting on a date before Club Annual Dinner.
e) Minimum Annual General Meeting forum to be seven club members.
f) To have a Club Computer Site

5. Where practicable:
a) Set weekly Sunday club runs and mid-week runs.
b) To organize the Annual Dinner on the last Sunday in October.
c) To hold Map Competitions, Reliability Trials, Down Hill Competitions and the like as proposed by members.
d) Activities to be on an invite to inter club basis, where suitable.
e) To liaise with local cycling clubs on a social basis.
f).To have an open invite to Cycling UK Cumbria members to join in Solway club activities with an option to membership of the Solway SCC. (Mailing updates).
g) To have a club magazine with Editor.
6.That prizes are presented for club competitions where warranted. Prizes awarded will be certificates, medals, cups or presented trophies.
7. The Solway SCC has no claim on effects once the property of the Solway CC (1950-70).
8. Existing redundant items once the property of the original Solway CC if presented to the Solway SCC where practicable they will be taken into use.
9. The above Constitution is open to a member for amendment at the Annual General Meeting. All matters are subject to a membership majority vote.
