Cycling Etiquette
• Don’t ride two abreast, particularly on roads with pot holes, as riders need to be able to pick their route through.
• When rides have more than ten cyclists, two groups should be formed with a good gap in between to allow cars to overtake keeping riders safer. Suggestion was each group had a leader who could ensure the gap was maintained.
• When going downhill or passing others, do make sure riders know you are coming past in advance and pass on the right only.
• When crossing a busy road, go across in the order you arrived at the junction, rather than two or three at a time crossing one another on the way across.
• Do point out pot holes and other hazards to those riding behind and around you
